I went to the convention in Nashville a couple of years ago. It was simply amazing! Being from Colorado I spent 3 days there.

The best part was just going around to all the vendors on the floor and talking turkey with them. Most were "down to earth" guys that you could see were turkey fanatics. I couldn't see all I wanted (and talk with people) in just 1 day, no way! Had a good conversation with Tom Kelly and Jim Spencer along with Bobby Dale (another writer I enjoy) and too many small custom call makers to mention!!

I would like to go again someday, but won't be attending this year. I would suggest to any "died in the wool" turkey hunter that he attend at least one convention. Its a great experience and something they should see.

Hey Gary,

It's good to see you here and hear from you! I remember your stopping by the AAS booth and it was a pleasure to meet you there.

I enjoyed meeting Bobby Dale there one year. We had a booth right next to his and he was kind enough to autograph one of his books for me.

I also spent a lot of time with Tom Kelly another year. He had a booth right across the isle from ours and during the lulls we spent a good bit of time together.

If you're a "turkey person" it's just a great place to be.

That's a long haul from Colorado but I hope you make it back soon.

Thanks,
Clark
