I'll probably be there with my son and grandson if I can get off work. I only live about an hour and a half south of Nashville. I missed last year with it being in Ga.

There was too many conflicting opinions and they all couldn't be right.  I decided to confine my study to the real thing for the next thirty years.  The real things are always right, me and everyone else is seldom right.  Learning that allowed me to discuss turkeys with others again.  I don't know what I am talking about and neither do they.

It is Feb. 19-22 2009.

I'd love to go but my money is also tighter than normal. If I can, I will.

georgiebob, in answer to your question, the discussion is about the National Wild Turkey Federation annual convention, which is in Nashville in February.  This is the biggest gathering of turkey enthusiasts each year...somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 expected, I think.

My wife insists that we are going this year....been putting it off due to other priorities.  I'm not sure the economy will allow us to get there again this time, but I will be looking for all of you if we do end up making it.

Sometimes in life you will have conflicting opinions, no matter what the subject matter is, and no not everybody can be right, yet in such circumstances I've decided to take what I can use and leave the rest. I don't know who the "they" is your referring to, but as far as the NWTF goes, no orginization in the world knows the wild turkey like they do,not to mention the best turkey hunters in the U.S., the best turkey callers in the U.S. and the best call makers inthe U.S. will be at the NWTF national convention Feb.19-22...., the best taxidermists, the best camo manufacturers, the best trail camera manufacturers, firearms makers, ammo makers.etc,etc,etc,.... and the best kind of people you'd ever want to meet!

Hey Ken,

That's a good reminder. It's also a good time to make motel/hotel reservations. They can get pretty tight as we get closer to the time.

Thanks,
Clark
