Postby Gobblernut » January 30th, 2009, 3:20 pm

Would just like to say to everyone whom paticipates and post on this forum you guys are the best. I have learned so much from everyone I started turkey hunting last year about four months before season i started asking, reading, and watching and practicing all at the advice from you guys. I was and still consider myself as a rookie. I did fill my three tags last year with 3 nice birds. So I am hooked for life I live and breath turkey hunting. Not lookin for any praise just want to keep talking and learning from a great group of guys. So let's talk turkey!!! Thanks again to everyone..

There's no shortage of hot air around here, and it goes way beyond you Steve. Most of it seems to be comin' from farther south.

Congrats on last season. Hope it continues.

I have hunted down there in Scott county a couple times over the years in those mountains. Great job on 3 birds out of those hills.

hey gobblernut,
so this is your second year and you've already taken 3 spring birds,,,and you think you are a rookie ?
this will be my 11th consecutive season , and it took me 5 to tag one .
i guess maybe there are different degrees of rookies ,,,ya reckon ?

Mark hay, Maybe it's beginners luck....Whatever you want to call it I'll take it... I would like to thank my big buddy marv.. He alone has taught me a great deal and still does.. But i guess that comes along with being best friends.
