thats right jim you cant tell a book by looking at the cover.....thats why i wouldnt buy a dog with out see the parent work first and when i bought my dog the one frank so graceously mentioned i did just that.....defects and cancers come up in all breeds...but if you buy a dog i recomend seeing the parents work first......the guy i know that sells the boykins has a reference list and i saw one of his dogs this fall....good luck TDH
