No fake heads here. We only use real freeze-dried heads on our birds. Even the finest reproduction head can't come close to the detail of the real thing. As for the bearded hen-she was a road kill-my customer was following a snowplow and saw her get hit. He called his DNR buddy and got a possesion permit as the season was still a couple months away. She was in pretty good shape on this side but had a little road-rash on the back side. The beard is her actual beard-a really nice one for any hen. Here's a pic of a different bearded hen I did a few yrs. ago.
The colors always seem to get washed out in the pics it seems. Her head looked lots better in person. The Gobble-strut on the roost is my favorite also.
