I have a good friend who lives outside Harrisburg & hunts his property with pretty good success. He used to have turkeys come to his bird feeders, but he had to remove them because bears would come there to feed & try to get into his trash shed.

I will be hunting the south central area to start out the season and if the birds aren't working will probably move north .
I have a camp on the northern lycoming tioga co. line this is north central Pa.
Lots of room up there its called the land of endless mountains.

Hey greyghost!  Ohiopyle is only about 5 miles from my house. I have some nice private land to hunt on but there are also some nice big birds in Quebec Run Wild are. Have you ever hunted there before?

Not the Quebec Run but have heard about it.

Last few times I have been staying in Connellsville at the Melody Lodge. That restuarent behind the lodge is a great feast for the price. The trouble with that its not open till 0500 and then closes @1400. I beat feet back there after hunting ceases at 1200.

I know out 119 across the bridge there those farms are loaded with turkey.

I had a great bear encounter last year on Ohiopyle. Will tell you one day about it.

Never ran into many folks there but just hunted Mon through Fri. there.

Well Greyghost if you want to hunt some of the other areas around here just let me know. And if I had a better idea where those feids are in Connellsville I might be able to find out who owns them so you could ask about hunting there as well. The areas I hunt have a large Turkey population. Although that may sound like a dream it also means alot of hens to deal with but still great hunting though.
