Mossberg 835 with Matthews Harmonic Dampner

Postby allaboutshooting » May 10th, 2014, 6:17 pm

I have completed the article on the new Mossberg 835 with Matthews Harmonic Dampner Recoil Reduction System.

You may read it here http://allaboutshooting.com/article_inf ... les_id=663

I've had a tough time getting on the forum for a while, so I apologize for not being here and "visiting".

Thanks,
Clark

Great to hear that the system works great to help reduce the kick of the 835. That was the biggest drawback on those guns. With the reduction of recoil, will help pick the speed of a second shot up faster also, and you won't be gritting your teeth to shoot it again.

Dang, if you'd have sone this about 20 yrs ago, my buddy wouldn't have 3 Benelli's now
It was funny, to have that pic. of him, when I took him on his 1st early Canada Goose hunt in Michigan, and his shoulder looked like raw hamberger
Ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts????

The move to SC got me really behind. It took a while to get our Internet hook-up and there were a few other complications. Now I'm back on line and I can take some time to publish the results with various loads and chokes.

Thanks,
Clark

I do understand. I had one of the very early 835s and used to shoot 3.5" shells with 2.25 oz. of shot through it. I also used it in the goose pits of Southern Illinois...one season. A Benelli SBE took its place.

This new gun is so much better.

Thanks,
Clark
