keep in mind that a lot of guys dont use decoys. in my 20+ years of turkey hunting, i've had just as many toms shy away from deeks as come charging in. in fact, i rarely use them at all anymore since i am usually runnin and gunnin after the sunrise setup.
but...i assume you're going to set your dad up in a good spot and "wait em out." nothin wrong with that.
a lot of places have "decent" decoys at a good price. saw some on the big C site the other day. you can get a hen and jake for $15-$20 apiece.
or you can spend $100 apiece. :D
