Sorry I haven't been around much lately.

As some of you know, I play harmonica and sing in a very good blues band and it has kept me extremely busy the last 6 months. My band won a competition last September that qualified us to go to Memphis Jan 29- Feb 2 for the International Blues Challenge, a very prestigious event. We rehearsed diligently and held a long series of fund raisers to get the 7-piece band to Memphis and house and feed them for 5 days. We also recorded a new CD in November, another time consuming venture, but I am very proud of the result. http://www.bgblues.us

It deeply saddens me to also mention that my friend, Backwater Bob, who joined this forum last spring, is nearing the end of his life from prostate cancer. I have tried to spend as much time with him as possible over the winter, even though he lives several hours away. You may recall with a smile Bob and I's exploits which I posted over the last three years as I tried in vain to get him a gobbler despite his physical limitations. God bless him.

With everything else that has been transpiring in my life, I just haven't had the time for the T&TH forum that I've had in past seasons. I'll be happy when I can completely focus on what is really important to all of us- Turkey Hunting!
