After I got back in the house from feeding the deer tonight, my wife excitedly walked into the room and told me to look outside. There amongst the deer were two adult hens and four poults, which are about 2/3rds grown. It has been years since I've seen turkeys in the yard. I hope they keep coming around. I figure once they find the bird feeders they'll be regular visitors.
I will keep the telephoto lens on the camera in hopes of getting a decent picture or two. I hope the gobblers find this place again too. About 10 years ago we had two bruiser gobblers hanging out here in the afternoons. Once the leaves came off the trees, the turkeys left and didn't come back.
Luck Counts, good or bad
