Angus Scores in Last Minute Hunt

Sadly, SuperCore had to leave with both tags unfilled. He said he was stopping by to pick up a Butterball on the way home.

Congratulations to Angus. The Shamanic Dream Team is putting some gobblers in the dirt this year.

Angus and I went back to turkey camp this weekend. Season was over, but we still had a lot to do.

The gobblers went crazy this morning. I hope Mark and the rest of the Ohio hunters had similar luck. We had gobs sounding off last night until dark and then this morning and this evening.

I spent a good part of the day mowing. We have several trails that I try to keep knocked down. In a few short weeks, we'll probably see the hens and poults walking along them. I also dropped out a couple of trays of mouse bait to the blinds and we spent the morning refreshing the deers' salt licks.

Ooops! Just heard another gobble. Dang! These gobblers are crazy!

All those gobbles speak well for the future out there, shaman. Keeping trails mowed will help the youngsters a lot by making paths where they can move around to feed or escape if they need to.

Good luck, here's to a great hatch, and a fantastic season next year too.
