Don't know where that is but we had a couple inches this morning in Northern NY. Not the first time and won't be the last. Our season starts May 1st.

Hey retranger....I'm in the finger lake hills of NY and I just shoveled 10'' off the shooting house deck and roof...and she's still snowing hard..my 8ft wht spruce are now 4ft and all the young maple and cherry trees are touching the ground.....all of our cherry...peach...pear...and apple trees were in full bloom...the 12x20 canvas hay barn was near collapse when I pulled the snow off the roof...it rain all day and half the night before the snow arrived...Yep...this is why I never plant any thing until late May early June..with the exception of peas and onions...Farmer next door just had 5 acers of spring oats come up last week...wonder how they'll do...I planned on hitting a blind I have 200ft from it....

That's just wrong.

I guess the silver lining is that turkeys will re-nest and there's plenty of time to get a good brood in this year.

In Maine I would say we are lucky, it is all coming down as rain where I am at, one week to the opening day.

msbadger,,, I did see on the weather that you folks out there were getting hammered. Bad for the trees this time of year, could be lot of damage. We are fine here and the snow will probably melt in a day or two. In the valley by Lake Champlain it is only rain. I don't believe our birds are sitting yet, but like C&R said plenty of time to start over.

Thanks guys...long term forecast for Tues. opener keeps changing .....so I don't know what we'll have...but snows off trees now ..more damage than I thought...but I woke up to a single cluck this morning....sleep with the windows open....a bit over a hundred yards away I caught this lonely little girl...having a hard time walking through the slush heavy snow....
