KY Bird Down and Good Footage!!!

This is the bird I killed on the second morning of our season here in Ky. I had watched these two birds all spring and luckily the lost their hens just prior to season opening. Opening morning I went and filmed my cousin, and roosted these birds that evening. You will notice that the footage doesnt start until the birds come into view, the reason is we had to set up atleast 300 yards from the birds because of open terrain.

Once they started gobbling I got aggressive with them early, I knew they liked to strut where we were setup and I wanted them to know there were hens there waiting on them. After they hammered back to a couple of fly down cackles I yelped and cutt hard to them and then shutup. 10-15 minutes passed when they gobbled on their own and they were on ridge with us, I cutt to them one more time, they roared back and here they came. He strutted up to the jake just to test him looked like, and then was ready for some love .

My cousin and I bought the Zinc decoys this year and man they look and work awesome. Hope you enjoy the video!!

Thanks guys for the kind words, and you're right I was dieing to pull the trigger. After watching the footage that other bird looked to have some daggers off the back of his legs, oh well.
