the georgia season has been open since march 22nd and is coming close to the end. the birds have been very vocal and responsive in my area, however, the past couple of outtings have been unsuccessful. the ol toms are gobblin on the roost, then shutting down once there feet hit the ground. this past weekend, may 3-4, the birds aren't doing much at all. i have managed to call in a few jakes and several hens with no tom following behind....i think the breding season is closing in rapidly. still got a few more days and i will still be out there chasing them..hopefully i can fill my last tag.
