Opening Day is almost here

Any other Connecticut hunters out there?

This is my first year for turkey hunting and I could use some good tips. I have a area of state land that I will be concentrating on. Seen a lot of scratching and tracks while shed hunting so I figured I would start there.

I too live in Ct., in Plainville,  and will be going out tommorow to try to get a turkey. Good luck to you on your hunt.

This will also be my first "official" turkey hunt, I lucked out in the fall of 2005, I had turkey tags, sat down in some brush, 5-mins later I got one.
I have not hunted turkey since and have spent many days this year at Cabelas getting stuff for this season.
