New From Georgia

Postby Tenptr » March 5th, 2011, 10:39 am

I just wanted to drop in and let you guys know this is a great forum yall have here.   I am a devoted GON (Georgia Outdoor News) forum member and I have been a reader of T&TH for quite some time......just never joined until now.   Much like GON, this forum has some seriously "turkey wise" members.   I have enjoyed reading all the excellent advice posted here and I hope that I can contribute a little of my own for whatever it may be worth.
I have spent my entire turkey hunting career (Age 14- 26) here in GA ...almost exclusively.   I hunted over in Alabama a little bit when I attended Auburn University and I have been out to Curtis, Nebraska two times....once last season and once the season before that.   I am broadening my horizons quite a bit this spring by hunting 3 new states.....FL,TEXAS, and NEW MEXICO.   I will be hunting here in GA the rest of the time.  Cant wait.

Welcome Zach......

This is a great place with good people.......
And yes, lots of good turkey hunters and sportsman...and a wider range of states represented than we have at GON..which makes it even more interesting.

For everyone else already here: Tenptr is an absolute great guy with a lot of experience and more bird encounters in his young age than many of us have in a much longer time period.

A true gentleman for sure........

Bobby
