Home from a Good Ky Hunt

Postby eggshell » December 5th, 2011, 5:42 pm

We went down for the second segment of Kentucky's fall gun season Saturday and returned today. We got into a lot of birds, but mostly flocks of old hens and they were tough. I finally killed two adult hens and my buddy killed one. It was a blast though as they called and fought all day long. We would just follow them around and try to get set ups. My second bird I just got frustrated and commando rushed the flock and shot one on the bust. we had busted three flocks and only got one returning bird. Still a lot of fun. I'd like to get a crossbow hunt in in December down there, but more than likely I'm done until March and my Florida Osceola Hunt, Kentucky spring and Ohio in April.

Sorry now pictures as I loaned my camera out this weekend.
Bust em, Bag em, thank HIm

Congratulations on the hunt Dana. Sounds like a challenging hunt but a lot of fun.

Congrats Eggshell, sounds like you had a good weekend. I wish I could have gone but unfortunately I had to work. Then Monday we got 5" of rain and everything is flooded. Hopefully this afternoon I can get the 4 wheeler out and get back there to them.

Hey Ron, was you able to make it down here this fall? If so, did you have any luck?
