Fall Roosting

Wil a tom return to the same roosting area in the fall?  Will they travel more according to their feeding area?
 
I recall bow hunting in the fall and while sitting in a tree stand have a few long beards pass by my stand. This may happen several days but after that it was like they moved out of the area.
 
Just trying to learn as much about the fall habits before season is here.
