time to get things ready for this fall hunting trips,,,,,this old timers gonna hit the trail hard this year....

well i usally start in ny on oct. 1st but i might go wisconson that last week......of sept .....it depends on weather...all i know is im ready....the dogs are driving me crazy....all that energy.....aug 15 - aoril 15 i can traing on wild birds...we usally break up 6 - 10 flocks before season starts .....that lets the dogs kind a get in shape phyiscal--and mental as to what is expected of them in a hunting sitiuation...

took junior and dixie lou out today for a run ...we covered alot of ground....we busted a flock of hens and young gobblers that were on the edge of a corn field....it was awesome the birds flew in every direction....[:D]...they barked good ..there were some good wing shot opertunities....we had just seen fresh scatching too, so i knew the birds were close....BOY I CANT WAIT HUNT
