80 Year Old Kills First Turkey

Postby Ben Sobieck » July 6th, 2011, 10:01 am

There's a first time for everything, even if you're an 80-year-old hunter like John Spangler.

"This is my first turkey taken with a crossbow," he said. "I'm an 80-year-old with right side arm and hip limitations. The turkey weighed 23 pounds with a 10-inch beard and 1 1/8-inch spurs. Can't wait 'til next season. I'm hooked on turkey hunting and your magazine."

Congratulations, John!
