Just picked up an M2 20ga

Well...as the title states, I just picked up a M2 20 ga with 26 inch barrel. Does anyone have suggestions for a good turkey choke/shell combo? Thanks...Shultzy

That is probably the coolest 20 I have ever handled.. To get really good performance at 40 yards your most likely going to have to shoot 7s.. I highly recommend you look at the Fed Heavyweight 1.5oz 7s.. Some of the proven winners as far as chokes with these loads are not available for your gun.. I would contact either Sumtoy Customs or Tru Lock.. William at Sum Toy has a choke specifically for these shells that has worked for a good number of folks, and he will also work with you swapping out chokes till your happy.. Tru Lock has new choke also specifically designed for these shells, not quite sure if it is available for your gun..

Great choice for a turkey gun. Get Nitro 4x5x7's and an Indian Creek Choke tube and you will be gettin a lot of bloody beaks.

Congratulations! That is an excellent 20 gauge shotgun and I think you picked the perfect barrel length.

The choke that is working best in my experience with that gun is the Hevi-13 Turkey Choke http://allaboutshooting.com/product_inf ... cts_id=210

It works well with both the 3" Hevi-13 shotshell with #6 or #7 shot as well as with the 3" Federal Heavyweight shell with #7 shot. Both are showing excellent pattern density at ranges up to and including 40 yards.

With either of those chokes and either of those shells and your excellent gun, you should have a great season.

Check out the Hevi13 choke tubes and then get the Hevi13 shotgun shells. You
will be set then.
