20 Gauge SSX Win-Choke

Postby allaboutshooting » March 29th, 2012, 2:53 pm

Finally, after all these months the 20 Gauge SSX Win-Choke Turkey chokes are available. The Rem-Choke version has been the hottest choke on the market, especially for the 20 gauge Federal Heavyweight shot loads. When I shot the prototype of the Win-Choke version, it was equally impressive with those loads, 150s - 160s pretty consistently.

I know several of you have been waiting for that choke and just wanted to let you know it's here.

This choke fits the Winchester, Mossberg, Browning and other 20 gauge shotguns that use the Invector, Win-Choke or Accu-Choke thread system.

We've been waiting for a long time...but now we have them, just in time for turkey season in many parts of the U.S.

Ive thought they were fools to only produce this choke in Rem for years.. I sent them emails last year telling them so.. Now to get them to produce Ben/Ber and it would cover most everything except the Inv +

I also hope they'll produce the 20 gauge choke in the Benelli "Crio" and Benelli/Beretta Mobil patterns, just like the 12 gauge. Time will tell.

Thanks,
Clark

Hey Dave,

I expect that you now have yours and hopefully you've been to the range and seen some great patterns.

Thanks,
Clark

Hey Cark, how does the remington do with winchester suprmeme loads? I was curious on what type of range you would get from this combo.

Thanks
Is it turkey season yet?

It does well but does not compared to the tungsten-based loads of course. It's a stretch to shoot them 40 yards but it's a good 35 yard gun.

What is the diameter of this new Winchoke®/Invector® SSX tube?
