My turkey guns

Remington 870 sps turkey ihave a gobblin thunder 655 in and the 870 express turkey a primos jellyhead is 665. Any sugestions or comments loads. I'm not big on the htl loads but any lead loads please.

Hey Donald, first off welcome to the forum. On that Benelli try Winchester Supreme 3 1/2" #5 I think you will like the resultd of them. They will hold a good tight pattern out to 45 yds.

Thanks kygobbler i have'nt tried 3 1/2 #5's yet did try the win. 3 1/2 #6's at 40 with great results.

Hey Donald,

As far as lead turkey loads go, it's just hard to beat 3" Winchester HV (Black Shells) with 1.75 oz. of #6 lead shot. I have found no better choke to shoot that load than the SSX however, regardless of which gun you're shooting.
