Hi to both you fellows and welcome. I guess where the season is open (down south) folks are hunting but up here we are still hibernating, still have much snow on the ground. Although it's probably a little different for the Sgt he is probably mowing his lawn!!!!LOL Our season in NY runs the month of May. I think I will still be able to find snow then if I look hard enough. Hope to see some pics posted from you.[;)][;)]

LMAO Retranger...I actually wish I was cutting my lawn.  We still have some snow in the high spots around here, but I am defintely glad Im not where you are!  So, Retranger...Im assuming youre a retired forest ranger or ECO?  If so, we may have some common friends.   I have family near you, in Tupper Lake.  Beautiful area up there, hows the turkey population in the Adirondacks?

KYTurk...Or season starts May 1st ...wish it started when yours does. Will you be able to get out for the youth season, is it only one weekend or does it run till the 16th?  We only get one weekend just before the opener here for our kids, which stinks if you ask me.   Good luck with your season.

I was a Forest Ranger for 30+. Started in Windham, Greene county then was able to transfer back home. Don't know many folks in Tupper, do know Fortune's hardware store though. We have a few birds here but they have only been around here for 10 years. Really need to get off this plateau to get into some birds.

Hey Donald,

Welcome to the T&TH forum. This is a great place with many helpful and courteous folks who are interested in hunting turkeys and helping people. We're glad you're here.

Thanks,
Clark
