It's more of which 10ga you shoot. I have a BPS 10 and one of my huntin pards has a gold 10. I got mine just to learn about patterns from it...Shells arent that hard to come by..just look on the net..You can get H-13, Nitro, and others from the big 3 names. My 870's kick harder than my 10 does..but weight is the main reason..you are lugging more weight but the 10 ga gold is very nice an comparable to Rem 1187. Not needed some will say, but that hardly comes into play when I get a firearm. With the right setup you'll be very pleased.
