Primos Tight-Wad For 20ga. Mossberg

Does anyone on here use the Primos Tight-Wad choke in a Mossberg 500 20ga.? If you do are you happy with it and what ammo are you using?

I'm sure there are some folks shooting that choke tube in that gun and you'll hear from them. I shot it in years past with a 20 gauge 870 with a variety of shotshells and with both 26" and 28" barrels.

The 20 gauge 870s and 500s normally pattern very much the same in my experience. I also have a couple 20 gauge 500s but have never shot that choke with either of those guns.

I much prefer the SSX but the Tightwad choke may work well in your gun, especially if you have one of the longer barrels on it.

I have the 26" barrel. My main turkey shotgun is the Mossberg 835 with a Indian Creek choke, using the Mossberg 500 20ga. is just a change from time to time. With the SSX choke where can I purchase one and what ammo did does it like with the 20ga.?

I have a new 500 moss patterned it wed with the ssx.550. Shooting Fed heavy weight#5 with flight control wad 3" to 35 yd is smoking.love that ssx choke tube.Allaboutshooting has them good price to. Check them out you won't be sorry.

bcknuts, I did opt for the SSX and going to try the HeviShot 13, 3", #6 shot....hopefully things work out for the better
