mouth calls?

I have never been able to use a mouth call.  I guess has to do with gag reflexes.

Saw a tip on just this, Try trimming some of the latex off on the back side..

I know everyone will have their favorites, but what are generally considered some of the better mouth calls. I guess I'm looking for clucking, cutts and purrs.

I use Hooks mouth calls. About the same price as a big name company's you could buy in a store but better cosistency I think, and they are easier for me to use.

Last year I tried some Woodhaven youth frame calls and I really like the smaller frame mouth calls. So this year I bought some Hooks small frame mouth calls and I liked them better than the Woodhavens as they are easier for me to control. The reeds are thinner and I think thats why. The smaller frame just fits me a lot better.

Cane Creek Calls !!!!!!! Ol' Boy from jenkins Kentucky top of the line guys.. Excellent calls who else will match the stricker to the pot call for ya.. Not Primos or H.S. Strut..Something to think about.....

i'm partial to legacy calls....they produce hi pitched, sharp, crisp sounds similar to a glass call

I love the primos piggyback stacked frame calls although they are around nine bucks a piece.Very simple diaphragm calls

Paul Butski has some great calls, the Cutter Light IV, and the Spring Shadow are two of my favorites.

Black Magic 4 reed from Away Hunting will allow you to make all the calls. Also the 4 reed Terminator from Cedar Hill calls works great.
Both are very consistent from one call to the next
