Poll: Friction is Favorite Call

Postby Ben Sobieck » March 4th, 2009, 8:27 am

Friction calls are most popular amongst poll takers of the turkeyandturkeyhunting.com poll. What about you? What call can't you live without?

I have to agree with TDH I always have diaphrams, box call and a slate or glass call but the one I wouldn,t do without would be the diaphram.

i use all of my calls at one time or another during season . but i don't always carry all them ;,it's usually a slate and a diaphram. the diaphram gets the most use . there have been times i only had the diaphram with me .. but now ,,,this year i'll be taking the wingbone,,,everyday,,,,,but the diaphram is my favorite .

Mouth call to me is a given, but I try to never venture into the spring woods without a box.

Tube, and I sure am glad that don't many use them.  Don't try to learn; it is too hard.

Friction is my favorite, BUT I would not be caught dead in the woods without my entire arsenal, turkey wing, gobble tube, mouth calls, tube call, wingbone, crow call, owl call, if you count friction calls two pot calls, box call, and last but not least a deadly and often overlooked pushbutton box call. I am also adding the new Haydel turkey Flute I think this year, if I like it. I also need to try a trumpet call, sounds like a lot of you guys use this and I may be missing out on something. Now if I could just find someone to carry all this stuff for me. Yes Buanna

TF-07 Turkey Flute

Tired of using the same 'ol calls and want a different sound? This call is like nothing else on the market. This call uses reeds that won't wear out or change on you and has a baffle that you control the volume. Once mastered there is no sound you cannot produce in the turkey vocabulary. It even gobbles! "Think outside the box!"
