Can anyone tell me how to condition the face and striker of the crystal call?

Stone, Drywall Screen, Sand paper.. Sand in one direction until its well hazed and blow residual dust off.. Different folks condition with the different things above as different folks prefer a different level of conditioness.

As for the striker, grind into sandpaper as if you are making a fire..

On the striker....just the very bottom? Or the bottom as the edge, or side too.......

Whatever part makes contact with the surface of the call.. Without twisting you can alter the angle of the striker tip over time and thus change the ability of the striker to make sound.

I love both. I guess slate could be a little more user friendly and forgiving but the calls are made with the same strokes on either call.
