Do you notch your calls?

I just added a new notch to a pot call that I used to take my most recent gobbler with and got to wondering who else does this?
 
My old Lynch box had several notches in it before I fell on & broke the blame thing while crossing a creek a long time ago.  A box call that I gave to a buddy had a pair on it, the two Box calls that I use regularly have a few on each and my best sounding pot has 14 on it, while the newest one has just a pair.

I haven't been able to ever take a turkey in all the years I have hunted them.  But I think it is a neat idea though.

i do i do! i also have stump that i've shot many deer off, and it is marked with tallies.

I do to. It also makes it every easy to find the sweet spot on a slate in the dark.

The only turkey calls I notch are my mouth calls.

Heavenjs NO I would never intentionally mar up or notch a call that I hunt with. Most hunters don't realize how much those old lynch boxes are worth. I only hunt with custom calls that I make myself so I could never destroy something handmade.

         It's about something deeper. When I look at a call with notches like that It makes me think about every one being a successful hunt. To me it adds character to the call. I seem to remember a couple of articles about some valueable calls WITH notches in them. I carry a collective coin that has a deer on one side. That side gets notched in deer season. The other side gets notched for turkey.

I don't notch my calls but use different knives that I notch for turkeys and deer.

Maybe it's something deeper for you fellas but not for me. I know the sweat and sometimes blood that I put into making game calls, to knotch one up would be sacreligious to me. And as a collector a call would have to be one of the big five names to hold it's value with notches in it.

I tell you what, this thread has got me thinking. Maybe I need to come up with something that hunter could notch up, something made for the point of notching and displaying. I've never given it any thought since for me the hunt is much "deeper" than keeping track and recording numbers. But if you guys have any idea's on what you would like to see produced, I'm open to ideas.
