I just bought a little ole purpleheart trumpet from Shortyscustomcalls out of Wisconsin to start with and it did a fine job. I'm sure there are better and fancier out there but I did just fine with my $55.00 trumpet. I have bought 3 others since including an old Tom Turpin style and they all will get their chances. Its a different sound from the traditional turkey call but the birds respond to it very well.Strutnrut gamecalls builds some nice ones as well.I really like the looks of the KP trumpets, those are some fine pieces of work. Blackfalcon is building some nice ones as well. [;)]

the first call i used, when i got addicted to this game, was a trumpet call, i still have the tom turpin [?] production call, i don't use it very often anymore, but these pics are making me think i may blow the dust off of it and use it some this spring....i realize these posts are old, but if you are still using this forum, i am going to send you a pm, and see about getting a brochure/price range of your trumpet calls....they are Very nice and i do believe i will try to make one the next addition to my collection
