Purpleheart Pot

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » April 21st, 2011, 2:13 pm

Hi guys, this is the first pot I've turned on the lathe since "04, because I haven't been able to turn on the lathe since then. I'm a little out of practice but it came out good, and sure felt nice to be able to turn againParden all the dust on the slate I guess I should of cleaned it off before the picture [:D]. I may try a few strikers again, so hopefully?

I think that looks great Scott. Purpleheart is one of my favorite woods and I have been itching to make a solid pot as well as a laminate pot with it because I like it that much. I went in to Woodcraft today and found a piece but was only 3/4" thick and I need a little more wiggle room for error than that. Plus it was ridiculous how overpriced it was.
