Couple new ones

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » July 23rd, 2011, 10:08 am

These two calls are new combo's also. The first is a curly maple, slate over teak. The second is a black locust, glass over hickory. I like the sound of this curly maple pot better that the spalted maple, it has a little bit cleaner sound to it but still has the same characteristics as the spalted pot does.
The locust call has a more cleaner pitch than the cherry calls have, but the break over is about twice as good. This call has a high pitch start with a deep drop that pops when it rolls over and a rasp kicks in and has that same two note as the teak does. This call should drive the birds crazy with the amount of drop in the break and that rasp change will send them to the grave. With the high pitch of the locust and the clear deep tone of the hickory, I pitty them poor birds next year. [:D]

I give those two thumbs up, Scott!! I'm sure they will be the demise of many birds sometime in the near future [;)]

Thanks Scott for the great sounding slate, I love it, it has great clucks and a big rollover break in the yelp. The birds will go crazy to this call. Scoot
