Mini Gibson

I've been working on these Mini Gibson's for a couple of weeks now. They are 8" long and 2" high and produce a sound almost the same as a Cost style short box, but you get the old style call look. Now I'll be able to do matched sets. This one is done in Curly Movingie over Wormy Spalted Pecan.

Is the paddle 8" or the shortest or longest edge on the bottom of the box?

The box is about 2" shorter. I finished a matched set yesterday I'll get some pics up so you can see the differance between the 2.
