Slate/Glass in cherry

Postby Dixie Belle » July 30th, 2013, 4:41 pm

Finished this one today. It's slate over glass in a light cherry.
Thanks for looking :D .

Nice looking call Ted. Are you going to use it this fall or does it already have a new home?
Is it turkey season yet?

Nice call Ted, that light colored cherry should have a nice crisp sound to it.

Thanks guys,
I've run it with Bubinga, Hickory, Maple, Cherry, Walnut and Cedar and they all sound good. The Maple and Bubinga give it a good high pitch on yelps and cuts and clucks, but I think I get the best purrs out of the Cedar. The Cedar also gives me a deeper throatier yelp and cluck.
Brian, it has no home as of yet, if it doesn't find one, it will go to the woods with me this fall. ;)
