3 Turpins

Postby WillowRidgeCalls » July 3rd, 2013, 10:00 am

I'm just finishing up these 3 Turpins, I've done the tuning on them and am getting ready to put the finish on them, and the final finish tuning, as soon as the weather gets decent, too much rain. The first is the call I built here on T&TH, maple over walnut. The second is a hickory over butternut, and the last is a blackwood over hard maple in my mini turpin style, which is only 7" long and 1-7/8" high, just a bit smaller to fit in your vest better.

Nice work Scott.

The way my work schedule looks for this summer I might be able to attempt to make one this fall.

Nice calls. The tuning is where I would struggle. My hearing is nowhere good enough to properly tune a call.
Steve, I love "smoked" turkey
