Hows the wormy chestnut stash?

I talked to some of you fellas awhile back about old American Chestnut..I love making calls from it...last week I got a tip from a friend who knew of a 125 yr old barn being torn down. He said there was some chestnut in it...I never had a clue what I was getting into..this is why I always follow leads on wood..you never know..anyway I pulled up and they were pulling 35 foot timbers out of the ground from the old barn supports with a back hoe and chain..I was able to make a deal on some that I picked out and started cutting to load on my trailer..all hand loaded by the way..man that was a chore..but worth it..That fella with the backhoe just wasnt trustworthy around my trailer..and I wasnt taking any chances..know what I mean?

Way to go warbird being in the right place at the right time pays off[;)][;)][;)].Dad told me the other day that his brother was going to tear down there old home place,and the house was made out most chestnut I cannot wait to get in on that.

That is good looking chestnut you did make a haul. You have to get it when you find it wood of that quality is hard to find.
