I'm heading back to my FL next week with a chance to hunt Osceolas.
Here is the issue: The tract we are hunting has several hens who are visible almost every outing however the toms are in a stealth mode. They're not with the hens and don't gobble on the roost or on the ground whatsoever which makes locating the roost very difficult. There are coyotes around which I'm guessing is the real issue. A friend has been out a few times and just can't get any turkey talk going or any tom/jake sightings.
I know they are in there but boy are they frustrating. I welcome everyones thoughts/ideas on these birds.
