Laugh all you want, but no less than Ben Rogers Lee used to have a shield for stalking turkeys.  I kid thee not.  I've got the viideo.  Ben had somebody put together a camo fabric-covered pipe frame that he afixed to the front of his bow.  It hid him pretty well from the front.  He went out and stalked turkeys with it.

I've also seen, many years ago, a 2-D cow cut-out .  You could use for sneaking up on turkeys in a pasture.  I guess all you really had to worry about was the bull getting the wrong idea.



. . . So Eb and Zeke rent a 2- man cow costume to hunt one pasture.  They get all dressed up and wander out into the field.  Suddenly the bull sees them and comes over. Zeke's got the front half.  Eb is taking up the rear.

"Eb?"

"Yeah, Zeke?"

"What d'we do now?"

"Eb, I'm planning on learning how to eat grass and mind my own business. I suggest you brace yourself."
