I took my son out this w/e for nh youth w/e. We were hunting private land, and were in a blind. At first light, we had six or more toms gobbling off the roost. Once they hit the ground, they answered our calls, but would'nt come into our decoys. I had a jake and two hens. The toms, which numbered at least 12, would look in the direction of the calls and decoys, would'nt leave the center of the field. just before light, there was a coyote in the area. My question is, did the coyote or the decoys screw us up. We were in a blind, so no movement was shown. Does anyone think turkeys are getting wiser to decoys?
