I need to re-phrase my equation.

Comfort + patience + big dose of luck, MIGHT = dead bird

I think most turkey hunters would consider me to be impatient. Movement is probably the best tool in my box. To me, it's more a question of knowing when to move, how to move and where to move -- and knowing when to sit tight. Same for calling -- knowing when to call and how to call -- and knowing when to remain silent. I like to get in tight to birds. I want to be within their comfort zone of that particularly moment. To me, it's more a matter of playing the game right than being patient.

i guess i dont have a set equation.... sometimes i do the correct thing but most times i dont.... who knows all i know is that its fun

I simply set up my blind and pull out a Tom Clancy book about the good guys shooting terrorists and the time flies by.  If I get tired of reading I simply just enjoy the outdoors.

  If I were to have an equation it would be ( Comfort X interest + disapline = patience).
 
But. As I am sure that some would agree, it is hard to put Patience into an equation for a whole season. Each hunt can present it's share of difficult situations that would require a different approuch to keeping your patience. LUCK and doing your homework on the birds your hunting in a given area have alot to do with a successful hunt.
 
There are alot of factors that play their part when hunting turkeys. The only constsnt is that there is not constant when it comes to hunting these difficult birds. Except MAYBE one. Which would be that no matter how boogerd a hunt might be you will always come back for more. So just enjoy the opportunity to hunt these birds while you can.
