Well this morning brought cooler weather with temps in the low 40s at sunrise. Hunted a new farm where i have seen birds while scouting but have never hunted this farm. Heard one gobbler this morning which after the last two days was a welcome sound. Sat up on a long ridge top with lots of turkey sign. Tom went to a bottom field and fed no struting and he was by himself.
We relocate near the field and throw out a series of soft yelps, all of the sudden a bearded lady came charging into 8yds with a major attitude problem. A buddy who is a second year turkey hunter with one day left in his season decided to fill his tag.
Things as still really slow here and we have one more day and two tags left so maybe tommorow will bring another day in the turkey woods either way I love this time of year. Well i will update you tommorow and then will be taking two days off before heading to western IL for the north zone opener in green county. Good Luck and Hunt Safe guys
