Try putting just 1 deke out a feeding hen or a hen that isn't in an upright stance and face her towards you, that is important! If those birds are within a 100 yards of you and can see your deke don't call at all. If they turn and walk off wait until they are out of site and do some cutting, no yelps. If they are looking at your deke and turn to leave give them some soft putt n purrs then shut up. Jim's advice is dead on also, if they are coming out into the field in the same area, that's where you need to be set up. If they keep going off to that same area go set up there.
