pg .570 and a 20 ga with fed 7s

was wondering if any body using  something close to this set up in a 20 ga mossberg. i would like to try the fed 7s out of this gun if i can find them. been all over savannah and struck out and what type of numbers are you getting with the pg .570. thanks.

I would look at the Tempest if I was going Fed 7s out of the 20, not the standard 570.

I shot that choke and those shells pretty extensively a while back, along with several others. It did just fine. The major problem is just what you've stated, trying to find a reliable source of those shells. Buying a special choke or chokes and then going through the patterning process has been a real challenge for some folks. You may want to consider trying the Hevi-13 shells with #7 shot. They seem to be a little more available and patterns are quite good, with a variety of chokes.

I was going to mention the same thing but Clark has beat me to it. I have used a 20ga. Mossberg 500 for several years and I purchased a Cabelas heavy-shot choke but I'm shooting Heavy-13 shells with #5 shot and have had much better results than other choke/shell combinations. I'm going to do a little patterning pretty soon with the #7's to see if they pattern any better!! Good luck with whatever choice you make.

Indian creek makes a fine choke.. I believe there best Fed 7 Choke is the PPE in something wicked tight like 540 but dont quote me..
