the Kee Kee

Every instructional video or hunting video I've seen generally uses 1 cluck coupled with 3 kees. But the first one I ever heard in the woods took me by surprise. It was a distinctive cluck-kee. Almost sounded like a chicken on steroids. Turned out to be a jake. Later he would go into emphatic lost yelps, but every kee-kee run was that single "cluck-keeee".

Many high end call makers say that their crystal calls kee kee.
Have any of you have any luck with crystal and if so what type
of striker did you use. I am looking into either a Woodhaven or
Halloran, any coments on those?

A good pot should kee kee, if it doesn't you don't want it. Every custom call I have will kee kee with almost any striker I put on it.
I have some production calls that will squeek....... but no kee kee
 
Save your money and frustration and buy a custom call.
That's my opinion- my 2 pennies free of charge [;)]

Any good pot call should Kee kee.. First thing I do when trying a call is see if it will kee kee.. The kee kee is going to determine the front end on your yelps..
