I'll be hunting just WI this year. My season starts 4-27 our 3rd season, I'll try and get tags for the 4th,5th,6th seasons also.

back for now boys[&:] hunting here in new york season starts may first i must say form what i'm seeing things are looking pretty good.  hey scott how does  WI issue spring tags and why so many seasons . here in n.y the season is a month long and you get to two tags that are good for the whole state . there are some parts of the state where only one tom is allowed[:)] wayne

WI we have a permit system, were you send for your first tag. The state is broke up in to 7 zones and there are 6 seasons. Each season is a 5 day season from Weds to Sun. you can't hunt Mon & Tues. If you draw a tag it is only good for that zone and that season, we have extra tags available for 6 of the 7 zones at $10. a tag, you can get as many as you want until they run out. Right now we have just about 40,000 extra tags available.
Our seasons start 4/13 through 5/22, I always start with the 3rd season and get extra tags for the next 3 seasons. I like the later seasons because most guys are done hunting, and I hunt public land and have never seen another hunter out there.
